Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of matched.cards (the "Service"), operated as "MatchedCards" ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

MatchedCards lets you design and export custom matching card games — similar in concept to games like Dobble and Spot It — using your own images. The free tier lets you create a small set; paid one-time purchases unlock larger sets and additional exports.

2. Eligibility and account

• You must be 18 years or older, or use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.

3. Your content

• You keep all rights to the images, symbols, and designs you upload ("User Content").
• You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, resize, and serve User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
• You confirm that you have the legal right to upload your User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity).
• You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not pre-screen uploads but may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, or abusive.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or probe the Service.
• Use the Service to commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate anyone.
• Resell or rebrand the Service without our written permission.
• Use the Asmodee Group trademarks in any way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with Asmodee Group (see section 13 below).

5. Payments and refunds

• Paid features are sold as one-time purchases through Polar.sh.
• Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.
• Because exports are digital and consumed immediately, all sales are final once you have downloaded a PDF or SVG export. If you experience a technical issue that prevented you from receiving what you paid for, contact [email protected] and we will work with you in good faith.
• Statutory rights of consumers in the EU/EEA/UK are not affected. Where applicable consumer law grants you a right of withdrawal, you waive it by starting the download.

6. Availability and changes

We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We may add, change or remove features at any time. We will notify you of material changes that adversely affect your existing purchases.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, after notice when reasonably possible. On termination, your User Content is permanently deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for gross negligence, intent, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising from your User Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Consumer rights

These Terms do not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. Consumers in the EU, EEA and United Kingdom may rely on the mandatory protections of their local consumer law and may bring proceedings in their home courts where applicable law allows.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Trademark notice

MatchedCards is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Asmodee Group or any of its subsidiaries. DOBBLE and SPOT IT! are registered trademarks of Asmodee Group. Any reference to these names on the Service is made solely for descriptive purposes, to identify the public-domain card game format that this design tool supports, and constitutes nominative fair use. All rights in those trademarks remain with their respective owners.
